T.I. is one of the hip-hop games best rappers. He has produced multiple big time albums such as King, T.I. vs. T.I.P., and Paper Trail. He is set to release his next album No Mercy soon. He is from Atlanta, Georgia and brings that southern style to his rap. T.I. has also been in a few movies as well. He starred in the #1 box office hit Takers and ATL. He has been arrested a few times for gun and drug charges, but continues to do big things with his career.
Just because T.I. went to jail, does that mean he is not a proper role model?

First question. Is that chain around his neck the chain from his shackles in jail? But on a serious note, I believe it should. Here is a guy who was blessed with talent and has found himself at the top of the charts on multiple occasions so why jeopardize that with monkey business? What is that going to teach the youth about how to balance their talents in their career with their personal lives?
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Dodd. I believe that T.I. is a good role model because he is successful. I don't want you to get me wrong and think that I am saying that it is okay for him to get arrested for gun and drug charges. when people look at their role models, they only focus on their success, not what they did wrong. When someone chooses a role model, they say things like "i want to be as successful as him." They don't say things like "look he does drugs so I can to." The fact that he got arrested and did his time should encourage the people that look up to him not to do the things that he did because he got punished for his crime. I might just be saying all of this out of bias but I think that people aren't wrong to look up to him.
